March 8 is International Women’s Day. In light of recent events and the realization that the fight against violence against women is getting more and more advanced every day, Puma and Tango Bourges Basket express themselves and decide to denounce this scourge with new sweaters.
With this unprecedented fourth jersey and overshirt, this is a strong sign of protest and support for all women who were once victims of violence. In taking this position, TBB and the German brand wanted to go beyond the memorable aspect of the day, thus reminding that historically this is a day of struggle for women’s rights.
These two new match suits and pre-match attire eschew the symbolic colors of the Tango Bourges basket (orange and black) to adorn themselves with new blues and lilacs, symbolically infused colors, synonymous with the loss of radiance, the burst of life that the victims of the Violence can feel. The design of each tunic is completed by many equally memorable details. Designed for the occasion, these new jerseys will be unveiled on Tuesday, March 8th as a bold tribute to those who are trying to bend over.
Last December, a workshop was organized at Prado with all the women who work every day on the influence of Tango Bourges Basket (president, players, staff) as well as with the SOTO Uniforms Design designer, all with the aim of choosing the elements and key messages to be integrated in these new T-shirts and shirts.
