The Francophone Association of National Olympic Committees (AFCNO) will organize a training course from 24 to 30 April 2022 at the National Arena in Dakar. 30 participating countries are expected in Dakar.
Originally scheduled for 2020, AFCON Technical Training Course 5 has been rescheduled for 2022 due to Covid. It aims to strengthen the skills of technical specialists who are members of the Association. In total, 30 coaches will take part in this course, which will be conducted by INSEP experts in Paris, Tunisia and Senegal.
Senegal will have 11 representatives, including 10 technical experts. A way for CNOSS to give more information to the technicians. “We have seen that women are underrepresented in sports organisations. That is why we have decided to reserve the seats reserved in Senegal for women,” admits Avelino Monteiro, president of the CNOSS Technical Commission.
This training is part of the preparation for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Dakar 2026.
