Montauban. Padel takes off in Ramier

The most important
Since October, two brand new courts have appeared on the territory of Ramier. And they are already successfully going, with the upcoming beautiful days …

Today it is a big fashion for racket sports. And the ATM couldn’t miss it. Arriving in Le Ramier, you can not help but notice their red clay color, even if the floor remains carpeted. “Padel is a discipline that creates extra life in the club, that’s undeniable. We have structures for this. People who come to play with us can, before or after, have a good time on the terrace where they can have a shot. or food. Friendliness is very important to us,” explains Guillaume Bot, teacher and padel manager (in fact, the club’s logo now says “Montauban Tennis Padel”). So, throughout the week, you can hit the ball with no problems from 9: 30 am to 10:30 pm (in passing, please note that evening light is charged at 2.40 euros for 1 hour 30 minutes).

. “Each week we have a good twenty reserved seats out of 120 available. It may not seem like much, but we are obviously dependent on the weather conditions. With good weather, there is no doubt that the number of seats reserved for you will increase dramatically. I also know that the courts dry quickly; suddenly, three hours after the rain, we will be able to play again.

Possible courses

The advantage of ATM is also that you can learn how to play paddle: “It is a very fun discipline that can be played from 7 to 80 years old. There are four teachers at ATM and we are all authorized to give lessons in paddle. at the moment, anyone can practice on Wednesdays from 18:00 to 19:00, and on Thursdays from 19:30 to 20:30 it is full but we adapt to demand. Applications for individual courts during the day are possible. The advantage of Padel is that it’s a lot of fun, you can do it on your own, but if you want to play harder from the summer, sheds… you can also take lessons. You can also rent rackets at the ATM, and even buy balls,” insists Guillaume Bot. Gradually the padel becomes organized, to the point where a team has just been created to represent the club in the next regional championship starting in a few months.
